A Week Without Deadlifts

Friday’s training was after work today, and there were no deadlifts. It’s not very often that there are no deadlifts in my training week, but that’s just how it turned out this time. The glute is feeling better every day, so hopefully I can get back to real squats and deadlifts next week.

1a. front squats (and I got to wear my squat shoes!)

45 lbs x 6, 75 x 6, 105 x 6, 135 x 5, 135 x 5, 135 x 5, 135 x 5

1b. a couple of variations of band pull-aparts with orange band

1c. bench press with Swiss bar, widest grip

33 lbs x 10, 53 x 8, 83 x 8, 98 x 6, 98 x 7, 103 x 6

2a. pause front squats, 2 second pause

95 lbs x 8 reps x 2 sets

2b. one arm dumbbell rows

40 lbs x 10 each, 50 lbs x 10 each

50 lbs x 10 each with a dead stop each rep

It doesn’t look like much, but I definitely had a decent session. Still love pause squats!
