The past several days have been interesting, if nothing else. I finally had an acceptable sleep Friday night, but Saturday night was another disaster that saw me camped out on the living room floor again. So not fun. Last night’s sleep was also acceptable. My husband broke the internet this weekend, not once but twice, which made for a quiet Sunday afternoon. Kane and the kids even played a board game last night, while I had to go to bed. And then today, while I woke up feeling okay, I quickly began to feel not so great. I don’t have time to get sick. I do not want to get sick. I refuse to get sick! Ha! After work I laid down for an attempt at a nap. I’m not sure how much I actually slept, but I felt a fair bit better by the time I got up again.

Warmed up with some hurdles! That’s something new and fun.

1a. safety bar squats-body builder style with knee sleeves

warm-up: 75 x 8, 105 x 4

main event: 135 x 10 x 4 sets

1b. bench press: close grip, body builder style

warm-up: 43 x 8, 63 x 5

main event: 75 x 10, 75 x 10 pause last 2 reps, 80 x 10 pause last 2 reps, 80 x 8 with a pause each rep

1c. “not really an L-sit but working towards it kind of thing”

4 sets, roughly 10-15 seconds each set with extending each leg twice

2a. dumbbell incline presses

25 lbs x 10, x 11

2b. walking lunges with 55 lb vest

x 20 steps, x 20

2c. power rear delt flyes

20 lb dumbbells x 10, x 14

2d. sit-ups on the GHD

x 8, x 10

Mapmyrun sent me an email today, reminding me of the 13 kilometre run I crushed on this date last year. Sigh. I miss running. I don’t miss it that much. Does that make sense?
