Happy Numbers

Yesterday was weigh-in/measurement day. The last check-in was 12 weeks ago on March 7.  I knew my weight had dropped, but I didn’t expect to see significant changes to my measurements. The results were most excellent! I lost 8 pounds, 6.5 inches, and 19.5mm of fat!

I am blown away by the numbers, especially when I compare where I am now with where I was at when I started on September 19, 2013.

Here’s a little bit of self-exposure:

September 19, 2013 – May 30, 2014 = total loss

weight        176.25 pounds – 145.5 pounds = 30.75 pounds

neck            13.8 inches – 12.6 inches = 1.2 inches

shoulders   45.5 inches – 41.2 inches = 4.3 inches

chest            41 inches – 34.75 inches = 6.25 inches

upper arm   11.7 inches – 10 inches = 1.7 inches

waist             37 inches – 32.75 inches = 4.25 inches

hips               42.5 inches – 39.25 inches = 3.25 inches

thigh             21.5 inches – 20.5 inches = 1 inch

calf                14.8 inches – 13.5 inches = 1.3 inches

total:             227.8 inches – 204.55 inches = 23.25 inches lost

I have also, since the beginning, lost 93 millimetres of fat. My body fat percentage went from 30.321 to 17.435, which puts me in the athlete ranking! I guess that means I can call myself an athlete now.
